Google Street View has long been a great product and with a new update, it’s going to be even better. With this latest update, Google says it’s their largest ever with over 250,000 miles of roads refreshed and better coverage in the United States, Sweden, Singapore, Thailand, Italy, Macau, Denmark, Great Britain, Norway, and Canada to name just a few.
Also, instead of Street View just being for roads, highways, and so on, there’s now special collections for different countries around the World. Brazil, Japan, France, South Africa, Mexico, and Spain are some of those great places. What’s neat about collections is people can explore far beyond just the open road.
For example, people can explore parks, castles, tourist attractions, and much more. Before, Street View was more of a way of navigation, but it’s quickly become a way to explore the World around us. Speaking of these collections, if you’ve got some time to waste, here’s a gallery of cool stuff from around the World, even under the sea and the likes of Antarctica.
Anyways, the updates are live so feel free to dive in.
