The Samsung Galaxy S III launched several months back and before the year ends, it looks like the S III will be getting a little brother, the S III Mini. We first wrote about the phone last week thanks to a leak from a press invitation. Even though it was written in German, the invite was from Samsung and translated to, “Be there when something small comes out really big.”
Just a day ahead of the actual event, we’ve gotten more details about the Galaxy S III Mini, including specs, features, and a photo in the wild. As one would expect from the name, the phone will be smaller than its bigger brother, and will also feature more mid-range specs compared to the high-end specs of the S III.
- 4 inch WVGA 800 x 480 Super AMOLED display
- 1GHZ STE U8420 dual-core processor
- 1GB RAM

- VGA front-facing camera
- HSPA, GSM/EDGE, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, NFC

MobileGeeks who leaked the specs says they may not be 100%, but at least we have a better idea of what to expect. As far as what carriers will be getting the Galaxy S III Mini, we don’t know, though when it launches overseas, people can pick it up for €399 ($513 USD) unlocked and SIM free.
Again, the event is tomorrow so we’ll be sharing the official deets as we get them so stay tuned. For a size comparison of the Mini to the S III, check out the photo below.
