Who is the ruler of Asgard must you ask? Why he is a very powerful man by the name of Odin who protects Asgard from all universal threats. Of course I’m talking a bit from actual myths and legends, but also talking in reference to Thor. Anyways, what exactly does this have to do with Sony? Oh, right.
Several new Sony phones leaked for 2013 and while the latter two look to be entry level devices, codename “Odin” looks to be Sony’s flagship device with all the bells and whistles that one would expect from an upcoming phone that will be running Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie. There’s no specs released just yet aside from the fact that it’s currently running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The speculation though is looking quite good. As far as when it will launch, being that it’s codename is in fact Odin, some are saying that it could be slated for a November 2013 release which will be in line with the release of Thor: The Dark World. The phone may even come with a “supercamera” and Cybershot capabilities which would make it one of the best cameras available in a smartphone.
Another phone, the C1604, will be more of an entry level device as its running a 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A single-core processor and has an Adreno 200 GPU. It’ll be running Android 4.0.4, but with a display of 480 x 320, don’t expect to watch crystal clear anything.
Lastly is the C150X which, like Odin, is a complete mystery. Essentially, it’ll be another entry level phone and will likely be running on the Snapdragon S4 Play chipset. While the latter two phones may not sound too enticing, Odin sounds very promising and as someone who likes to take a decent amount of photos, especially looking forward to see what Sony puts together.
