What company has the industry rumor mill in high-gear lately? If you guessed Sony, you’re probably a psychic because there’s very little reason for the Japanese electronics giant to come to mind when thinking about mobile devices. Regardless of their lack of presence in the mobile market, information about a handful of new Sony devices has surfaced recently, and the newest addition to the group is the C3602.
Not much is known about the C3602 yet, only the results of a benchmark test that managed to find its way into the open. While the other Sony devices that have surfaced lately, like the “Odin” or the C6603 “Yuga”, have appeared to be fairly high-end on the spec sheet, the C3602 appears to be more mid-to-low end on the spectrum. Here’s what was revealed by the benchmark test results:
- Display: 1196×720
- GPU: Qualcomm Adreno 225 1.5GHz
- Android 4.0.4
We’re likely looking at a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, which won’t compete with the quad-core processors found in the other leaked devices coming soon. The question remains if another low-end device is the best path for a company that most recently released the mediocre Xperia TL, particularly when you consider their relatively low market penetration. Not much else can be inferred about the C3602 until further information is available.
