Look what we’ve found here. It appears to be the Sony Xperia Odin, C650X. No it’s not that Sony Nexus X we saw last week which turned out to be fake. The Sony Xperia Odin is supposed to be the Sony device to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the HTC J Butterfly (which might be hitting Verizon as the HTC DLX). So it looks like this will be a 5-inch device.
The Italian blog Androic Caotic on Japanese site Rbmen found the image you see above, which is said to be the Sony Xperia Odin. So let’s dive in and see what we’ve got here. This is actually one of the lesser blurry photos we’ve seen leaked on a device in a while. Of course you see the “Sony” and “Xperia” logo’s on the device, and it looks like a bezel less display, similar to the Droid Razr M which Motorola launched on Verizon back in September. Then there’s that front-facing camera next to the speaker grill up top.
So far we don’t know a whole lot about the device, but previous sightings and reports are pointing to:
- 5-inch Full HD Display at 1920×1080 resolution
- 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
- 2GB of RAM
We don’t know anything about the battery yet, but we’re hoping there’s at least a 2500mAh battery in there. But we always love larger batteries like the one in the Droid Razr Maxx HD, right? We’re expecting to see the Xperia Odin unveiled at CES, or possibly Mobile World Congress depending on which markets Sony is pushing this device for.
So Sony fans, is this the Xperia device you’ve been waiting for?
