Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 Now Available In The US For $149.99

Amazon’s original Kindle Fire really shook up the tablet market. Before, a 7 inch Android tablet wasn’t really something consumers were looking for. Now, the 7 inch tablet is a major seller and we’ve seen many get on board, including Google and a little bit late to the game, Apple.

Lenovo likes the idea of a 7 inch tablet and their IdeaTab A2107 is now available in the US. For $149.99, it’s almost $50 cheaper than the base model Nexus 7 and almost $10 cheaper than the 2nd generation Kindle Fire. At the price though, does it stack up?

  • 7 inch 1024 x 600 display
  • 1GHZ Cortex-A9 single-core processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 8GB internal storage with microSD card slot
  • 2 megapixel rear-facing camera
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0
  • Up to 10 hours of battery life
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

We do have to give Lenovo some credit on the design front as it does look pretty good, features a microSD card slot, and the fact that it has stock Android. Other than that though and what seems to be a repeat of many 7 inch tablets that have been announced lately, you’re better off just saving up a bit more cash and grabbing the Nexus 7.

In fact, even though the Kindle Fire has a forked version of Android, that at just $9 more seems like a better deal, plus you get better performance. However, if you’re interested in the Lenovo IdeaTab A2107, you can either pick it up here or here.
