Yesterday, we had announced that the LG Optimus G was available to pre-order from Sprint and it looks like AT&T has a bit of a jump on the carrier with not only the Optimus G available starting today, but also the “Bond” phone, the Sony Xperia TL.
The Xperia TL is used by James Bond in the latest Skyfall movie and will run you just $99.99 on a two year contract. With the Optimus G being more of a high end phone, it’ll set you back $199.99 on a two year contract. Both phones have very good specs and the screens are virtually identical aside from the Xperia TL being just 0.1 inch smaller.
Here’s the specs of the Bond phone:
- 4.6 inch TFT HD Reality Display at 1280 x 720 (282 ppi)
- 1.5GHZ Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor
- Adreno 225 GPU
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage with microSD card support up to 32GB
- 13 megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1,850 mAh battery
- Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
And the LG Optimus G:
- 4.7 inch IPS Plus LCD at 1280 x 720 with Corning Gorilla Glass 2
- 1.5GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor
- 2GB RAM
- 32GB internal storage with no microSD card slot
- 13 megapixel rear-facing camera
- 2,100 mAh battery with up to 13 hours of talk time
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
The fact that both phones are running Android 4.0 is a bit odd considering that Jelly Bean has been out for a while, but both phones will for sure get the upgrade, just when is another question. Both phones can either be ordered online from AT&T’s website or at retail stores across the country.
