Looking forward to picking up the Nexus 4 soon? If you live in Taiwan you’re probably going to need to make other plans, because at this time LG and Google have no plans to bring the device to the island nation of Taiwan. LG blamed the release blackout for Taiwan on marketing and sales plans set forth by Google, but offered no additional details about the situation. Right now the Nexus 4 is confirmed for release in the following regions: US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, much of Latin America, and several other Asian nations through Google Play.
So, just in case it doesn’t sting enough already, here are the device specs that Taiwan users will miss out on for now:
- Quad-Core 1.5GHz Processor
- 2GB RAM
- 2100mAh battery
- 318ppi
- 1280×768 pixels
- 4.7-inch screen
- 8MP Camera
- NFC
- HDMI Connection
LG hasn’t abandoned the market completely, and in a statement the company said that they will be releasing several new flagship devices in Taiwan before February 2013. Whether the lack of the Nexus 4 will have a large impact on ongoing LG sales in Taiwan is yet to be determined.
