Sony Xperia V Gets the 'Official' Go Ahead for Europe: Due to Launch Early December

Back in the end of August Sony unveiled the Xperia V at the IFA conference in Berlin.  The phone came with some pretty nice specs and features. As a recap the Sony Xperia V included:

  • 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Processor
  • 4.3″ HD display with 342 ppi pixel density
  • 13 MP rear camera
  • Front Facing Camera
  • PlayStation Certification
  • Android 4.0
  • LTE

With those specs in mind, Sony also created the device with a “water and dust resistant body” courtesy of IP57 certification.  The stunning display is “powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, and it allows for color optimization, sharpness, and contrast for those who love to stream videos and movies. Sounds pretty spectacular right?

Want to record life’s moments as they happen? No problem, the Sony Xperia V offers full 1080p HD video! How about snapping a photo? Got lighting issues? No problem, the 13 MP camera “automatically selects the most suitable scene for your shots.” How great is that? To have a camera that can make sure you always have the greatest picture quality is pretty awesome.

Are you music lover? Xperia V has you covered. Their recent WALKMAN app comes equipped within the device. It allows you to take and create playlists, use wireless speaker systems, and it also comes with Clear + which automatically finds the best audio quality so you can truly enjoy your music.

Live in Europe and crave this device? You’re in luck, the Russian Sony company has just confirmed this device for this exact location! What great news for Sony lovers!  It has said to be coming sometime early December and be priced at 24, 990 RUB, which is about €622, or $805. The price is a bit high, but it has been said to go down once the device launches, so maybe a rush for the device may not be in order right away.

It then will be making its way to France come January, which always makes me excited to see a phone or device get international attention.

So how about it, who’s excited for this device to hit the shelves in Europe? Give a big shout in the comments below 😉
