These days smartphones are becoming more and more of a fashion accessory and they’re no longer the big, black slabs that only tech enthusiasts and downright nerds would dream of carrying around. Nope, those days are long behind us and now, smartphones come in alsorts of colors and sizes, for those that interested in technology, the smartphone has almost become like the shoe, it’s practical and now comes in a whole lot of colors. The Droid RAZR has become a phone that’s been available in as number of different colors – including a Cranberry version coming Black Friday – and with the Droid RAZR HD now on shelves, it looks like Motorola aren’t done painting the town red.
The Droid RAZR HD is a brilliant phone in its own right and is sure to be a big money spinner for Motorola and Verizon this holiday season but in only one color, how can it expect to do that well? Whether or not black is your color or not is of little concern to Verizon it would seem as the company is only giving their employees a special edition that’s all dressed up in color. This isn’t the first time that Verizon have given their employees special editions of their phones, with the Droid DNA Verizon gave their employees a stunning paint job.
The Droid RAZR HD in red is individually numbered and has the “LIMITED EDITION” moniker stamped on the rear of the device. Moto have done a really good job with this and if anything it makes us wonder why we can’t be treated to such good phones as well? Of course it’s great that Verizon give a little something to their employees but the question remains, would you want to pay extra for a special edition like this? Is that something that you’d consider doing in order to get a sweet looking paint job?
