Still trying to get your hands on an LG Nexus 4? If you got into the pre-order for the Nexus 4 + Nexus 7 bundle from UK based TalkTalk then apparently you’re in for something special. According to the pre-order page for their mobile bundle, this particular package comes with the long rumored white Nexus 4.
Rumors of a white Nexus 4 have been circulating almost as long as rumors of the devices existance have been around. Fanning the flames was UK’s Carphone Warehouse, who displayed in-store advertisements showcasing a white model of the device. Other companies have advertisements on their websites that hint at a white Nexus 4, but until now nothing had been confirmed by a retailer.
The white Nexus 4 is likely to follow in the footsteps of the LG Optimus G white, which featured a standard black front. There’s yet to be an official release of images of the white Nexus 4, so any guesses on the color layout of the device are simply unknown at this time. The Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S both saw white version releases, but neither were particularly large launches. There’s been no word from LG or Google about how wide the distribution of the white Nexus 4 will be either.
TalkTalk is expecting to have the devices ready to ship by December 13, but the pre-order has already sold out. The date falls on the same date as the end of the exclusivity agreement with telco O2. For those customers still looking to make their purchase this may add a new level consideration. Should customers who are interested in the white version wait longer now for the next pre-order to come available? Or, should they simply jump on the first devices available regardless of color? Considering the poor rollout by Google of this generation of devices, the question is particularly difficult to answer.
