It seems that there is a pandemic surrounding device rumors recently and it looks as though it’s going to carry on as until CES. With rumors surrounding LG devices coming to CES and the obligatory rumors surrounding the Galaxy S IV you’d think that 2013 is going to be a magical year for Android devices. Unfortunately, a lot of these rumors can quickly be discounted as false or at least something that isn’t going to be happening any time soon. Without further a do, shall we go ahead and get this latest rumor over and done with?

If you’ve stuck with me this far, first of all, thank you and secondly, let’s run through a few things that might give this rumor a little credence. Motorola announced the Droid RAZR MAXX back at CES this year and I really wouldn’t surprised if Verizon were trying their best to pull some strings in order to get another Droid device out in the wild to catch some of the new year buzz. Taking the size from 4.3″ to 4.5″ could be a good move as well, after all, 2013 is all set to be the year of the 5-inch smartphone so, with a 4.5″ 1280 x 720 display the handset might stick out – positively – among devices with a much larger footprint.
Do I think much of these rumors? No, not really. Do I think Verizon are crazy enough to have Motorola make another Droid RAZR smartphone so soon after the last bunch? Oh, of course I do. If anything, CES just got a little bit more interesting and I’m hoping to see something from Motorola regardless of whether or not it’s a Droid or finally something of their own.
