If you’ve been trying to grab a Huawei Ascend P1 and use it here in the US, you can now do just that. Thanks to Huawei offering it through Amazon for just $450 unlocked and contract free. But the Ascend P1 does not have LTE, which could be a deal breaker for some. Also it features a dual-core 4.3-inch display which is going to give it a hard time at competing with the Nexus 4. Especially when the Nexus 4 is $100 cheaper, but its almost impossible to get one right now.
The Huawei Ascend P1 was announced back in January 2012, and made available in May 2012. It’s got some okay looking specs, nothing that will really jump out and beg you to buy it though. Here’s a quick recap of the specs on the Ascend P1:
- 4.3-inch display at 960×540 resolution
- 1GB RAM
- Dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 processor
- 4GB internal storage; with micro SD card slot
- 8MP rear-facing camera; 1.3MP front-facing camera
- 1670mAh battery
- Launched with Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich
