More Nexus 4 Stock Incoming? Hopefully… [UPDATE]

With the Nexus 4, Google delivered another solid smartphone running on bone stock Android but, the problem was that they struggled – pretty badly – to get the device out to people en masse. Whether or not the problem lies with Google or LG is a stale argument at this point and I think we could all agree that the more important thing is to just get more of these devices into the hands of those that want them. After all, there’s no better way of selling your flagship product than having a steady stream of units.

The Nexus 4 is one device that has been harder to get hold of than most and, traditionally Nexus devices haven’t sold as well as everyday smartphones so it was shocking to see the Nexus 4 sell out so quickly, not once but, twice. Now, there is word of more stock hitting the Play Store soon. When looking at the device’s landing page in the Play Store you’ll see that it has changed to “temporarily out of stock” and Droid-Life have been tipped off that more stock should be hitting the Play Store come 9 AM PST.

Meanwhile, the German Play Store lists the Nexus 4 as shipping in 1 – 2 weeks, which while that doesn’t work out at the same as “in stock” it’s about as good as we’ve come to expect when it comes to the Nexus 4. Does this mean that more stock is hitting the Play Store in the U.S. and Canada soon? We certainly hope so, after all to see the Nexus 4 out of stock for so long isn’t good for Google.

Well for those of you out there that haven’t yet managed to get your hands on a Nexus 4, today or tomorrow could well be your lucky day. Don’t take our word for it but, it could be worth taking a look at the devices section in the Play Store. Let’s just hope that this time around, nobody has to ready their F5 finger quite like they have had to in the past.

C’mon Google, let’s get some units sold!

UPDATE: It looks like the Nexus 4 is back in stock in the US Play Store, hurry folks!
