Whether or not we want to admit it, the color of a smartphone is somewhat important to a lot of consumers out there and it’s often a way for manufacturers to eke out some more sales of an already popular device. We’ve seen Verizon and Motorola do it with the Droid RAZR line these past couple of years and not even the Nexus line is exempt from caring about its image. Since the Nexus S, there’s been a white version of the Android flag-bearer and now it looks like LG are ready to deliver their white knight of a Nexus 4.
Yesterday, among the Android News there was a leaked image of the Nexus 4 in white and now, out of Vietnam, there are even more images of the upcoming white knight. Courtesy of Vietanmese website Tinh tế we can have a much better look at the Nexus 4 in white. There are a whole host of images and it’s certainly an eye-catching device.
Whether or not you’re the type of person to go for a white smartphone or not is down to personal preference but, the Nexus 4 seems to have retained a lot of what makes its design unique. Presumably, the glass is here to stay and in the photos you can definitely make out the glittery pattern on the back of the device. Somewhat thankfully, LG have decided to keep the front of the device black.
There’s no telling on when the White Nexus 4 will be hitting either the Play Store or retail shelves but, these leaked photos suggest that it can’t be too far away and that LG could well have already perfected manufacturing of the new model. There’s another issue to raise surrounding this new Nexus 4 model. If Google and LG are ready to give the device the white makeover then they could have worked out all of their issues concerning supply. The Nexus 4 is very much back in stock throughout Play Stores across the world and we’re certainly hoping that Google and LG can keep the stock coming and promote wider adoption of the Nexus 4.
