One of the new features in Ice Cream Sandwich, which came out back in November 2011, was being able to take screenshots without having to install another app. That feature is now added into most manufacturer skins as well, including Touchwiz and Sense. If you’re new to Android or never used any version of Android before Android 4.0, you may not know this, but taking screenshots used to take quite a bit of time. But here’s how you take screenshots on Android 4.0+.

*This is how you can take screenshots on most Android 4.0 and above devices
1. Go to the screen you want to take a screenshot of
2. Next press the power and Volume Down button together for about 3-5 seconds
3. Your device will then make a camera shutter noise, then show you a preview of the screenshot.
4. Congratulations! You have just taken a screenshot
How to take a Screenshot on the Galaxy S3
1. Go to the screen you want to take a screenshot of
2. Next press the power and home button together for about 3-5 seconds
or
2. Swipe your palm vertically across your device from left to right.
3. Your device will ten make a shutter sound and save your screenshot.
4. That’s it. Your screenshot is done.
How to share your screenshots
1. Pull down your notification bar
2. On Jelly bean, tap the share icon. If you’re on Ice Cream Sandwich you’ll need to tap the screenshot then the share icon
3. Next choose which service you want to share too.
4. Follow the steps to share to that particular service and you’re done.
