There’s a lot of buzz floating around right now, with MWC coming up soon and HTC’s own announcement happening even before then, there’s a lot going on for sure. 2013 is going to be a critical year for HTC, after a poor year last year, they need to do something to bring them back to the top of their game. They’re pinning these hopes – or at least it looks that way – on the HTC One and Android news as of late, has been full of leaks and rumors concerning the new device.
We’ve heard some interesting things about HTC’s latest, from the inclusion of “ultrapeixels” to it’s screen size of 4.7″, which would give it an amazing ppi of 468 thanks to it’s high resolution of 1920 x 1080. Some will tell you that pixel density is the most useless spec in technology right now but, would you rather read this on something with more or less pixels? More pixels means a sharper display and a better reading experience, consider the amount of time and the amount we read on our smartphones, more pixels=more good.
Forget the internals of the device though, looks are important too, and in past years HTC has been known for their good-looking designs and if the guys over at HTC are smart, the HTC One should be no exception. We’ve seen a few leaked images courtesy of @evleaks and now another one has to come light and its the more of the same, but in a different color. Take a look for yourself:
As you can see, this looks just like another leaked image we’ve seen in the past weeks and it does look pretty nice. Personally, I let looks drive my gadget purchases far more than I should do. The One X I have now is by no means the best phone I’ve ever owned but, does it look pretty on my desk? I’d say so, and the display is still pretty damn gorgeous. The HTC One in black looks nice but, are a couple of colors and a tweaked One X design enough to save HTC, or at least get people excited in what they have to offer? No, probably not.
Am I excited to see what HTC have in store for us come the 19th? Not as much as I thought I would be. What about you?
