How many times have you dropped your phone? Probably more than once, right? Well then it’s a good thing that we are starting to see more smartphones being more durable. Like the Xperia Z which is water resistant and dust resistant. Then there’s the Casio Android phones that are on Verizon’s network, and the newly announce CAT B15 which is as rugged as you can get.
Well we’ve got a nice infographic below for you to check out. It shows us the scary numbers in regards to Smartphone disasters. For instance, 1 in 4 devices are damaged from falling out of someone’s hands. I actually thought that would be more common, like 1 in 3 or even 1 in 2 devices. Also,the fact that people with tattoos are 37% more likely to have an accident with their smartphone…wait what? So because you have a tattoo you’re more likely to drop your phone? This next number is kinda surprising, but then when you think about it, probably not. But almost 75% of people would reach into the toilet to save their phone. I know I’d reach in to grab my Nexus 4, how many of you would do the same?
The infographic goes onto talk about some of the more bizarre circumstances where phones get destroyed, but some are actually plausible. So that leads us to question, how have you damaged or destroyed your smartphone? Have you done it repeatedly? As far as it goes for me, I’ve never really dropped my phone, or at least not to often. Although way back in the day I did drop my phone in the street and it messed up the SIM card tray. That’s probably about the worst thing that’s happened to my phone. So what about you?
