Today, GoSmart Mobile launched its no annual contract wireless service for those of you looking to save some money with your phone bill. Which is becoming more and more popular, especially with devices like the Nexus 4 selling so cheap, unlocked. GoSmart is a new brand offered by T-Mobile USA and offers affordable, no annual contract plans on the T-Mobile network which starts at $30 per month.
We’ve already seen a number of MVNO’s out there, including Straight Talk, Simple Mobile and Solavei that all run on T-Mobile and/or AT&T’s network. All of these offer about the same plans for about the same price. GoSmart Mobile is offering the following plans right now:
- $30/mo. Unlimited Talk and Text
- $35/mo. Unlimited Talk, Text, Web
- $45/mo. Unlimited Talk, Text, High Speed Web (3G)
The unlimited High Speed Web (3G) is probably throttled at 2GB or 5GB as with many of the other MVNO’s out there. But as long as you know that you might get throttled, this is still a pretty good plan. And they are pretty competitive with other pre-paid plans out there. You’ve got T-Mobile’s $30 plan which is 100 minutes, with unlimited data (up to 5GB) and unlimited texts. So for those that talk on the phone a lot, this is a great carrier for you to use and save quite a bit of money as well.
The GoSmart Mobile SIM kit is available for $8. Now if you’re looking for a GoSmart Mobile branded device, there are currently only two devices available and both are less than $100. In addition to the plans shown above, users can also add unlimited international texting to over 200 countries for $5 per month, then there’s an option for unlimited calling and texting internationally to over 200 countries for just $10 per month.
Overall GoSmart Mobile seems to be a pretty good deal. Especially if you’re looking to grab the Nexus 4 or some other unlocked device at full price. How many of you are planning to try out GoSmart Mobile? Let us know in the comments below.
