Droid Game Hub 03/17/13: Unicorn Apocalypse, Humble Bundle, Real Boxing, Angry Birds Seasons and More

Unicorn Apocalypse Dashes Onto Google Play

A while back, during the advertising campaign for the Note II, Samsung put out a commercial displaying how the SAFE features of the Note II would accommodate workers in the enterprise space. During that ad we saw a glimpse of a games studio working on a game called Unicorn Apocalypse. Well as of this week it turns out that Unicorn Apocalypse is real and it’s available now for all you gamers out there. Unicorn Apocalypse is an endless runner that seems a lot like Robot Unicorn Attack from Adult Swim games, but with some extra additives like shooting rainbow beams from your horn and an opposing military force whose only goal is to stop the Unicorn Apocalypse. You play the unicorn and will dash, jump and shoot your way through the end of days. How long can you run?http://youtu.be/lbF0rOokvF4

The Humble Bundle for Android 5 has been out for a couple weeks now. It’s been long the popular little pack of games, and with all its popularity it has gotten three new games added in. This typically happens with most Humble Bundle packs, it seems usually if the bundle sells a certain amount. The three games that were added in are Superbrothers Sword and Sworcery EP, Splice by cipherprime studios, and Crayon Physics Deluxe. The three adds were part of the Humble Bundle for Android 4 originally. They had since made their way to the play store from there and are now back in the Humble Bundle 5. The new games are part of the locked series that you only get access to by paying the minimum amount which is currently at $6.91. Real Boxing Packs A Punch, So Far A Tegra Exclusive

Real Boxing has been in our sights for a little while now. First debuted to us through Nvidia on their Android Thursdays video blog that shows them playing android games on and for Project shield. Real Boxing was one of those games. The hype around this title is laser focused around the game’s exquisitely developed graphics and realism. The eye candy is enticing, and why wouldn’t it be. Angry Birds Season’s Gets New Updates With Power-ups And New Levels

Any Angry Birds Seasons players still out there? For those of you that can’t get enough of the birds, the game has gotten a recent update that added in some new levels and some pretty cool power-ups for you to use. This isn’t a complete episode update as per usual with Seasons, but rather only 8 new bonus levels. Four are located within the “winter” levels Winter Wonderham, and four are located within the Halloween episode “haunted hogs”. The idea behind this update was merely to add the ability to use power ups within Angry Birds Seasons, of which will be the homing bird, sling scope, and super seed abilities. The update is available now so fly on over and grab it when you can.

EA Commits To 16 Titles Available For The Galaxy S IV At Launch, Sims Freeplay Gets New Content

EA is quick to jump on board with Samsung’s new Flagship device, the Galaxy S IV. At Launch EA I will be backing the mobile giant with 16 new games to help drive the gaming capabilities of the new phone. The Simpson’s Tapped Out, Real Racing 3, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Plants VS Zombies, and Monopoly and The Sims Free Play are among some of the titles that will be part of the launch list.

The Sims Free Play, one of their more popular games, has gotten a fairly large update too which should be welcomed quite nicely in with the S IV right around the corner. The update includes tons of new choices, more time and more fun to give you an even better Sims experience than ever before. The “Livin Large” update also increases the amount of sims you can have to 31, and is available now so you won’t have to wait to get your hands on an S IV to play the new content.

Rovios New Game The Croods Lands On The Play Store

Rovio is quite well known for their physics based game titles like Angry Birds and Bad Piggies/Amazing Alex. A new title from them called “The Croods” which is based off of the movie, is now available for download. The Croods is a world builder type game that will have you play and control the members of the Croods family and shape their world. Enjoy the pre-hysterical fun as you gather food, hunt strange creatures and invent things as the game’s main character “Grug”. The game is free to play but you can purchase items to help fast track your progress as time passes. The ability to disable IAP is also available which isn’t such a bad idea if you want to keep anyone from “accidentally” throwing away some of your hard earned cash. Anyone else looking to try this out?
