Samsung Galaxy S4 CPU Breakdown by Country; Is Your Country Getting the Exynos 5 Octa or the Snapdragon 600?

When the Galaxy S4 was first announced last week, so many of us were wondering why the US was getting shafted yet again and getting the Snapdragon 600 instead of the Exynos 5 Octa. Well, usually it’s because of LTE. But We now know that we aren’t the only country getting the Snapdragon version (GT-I9505). Now the Snapdragon 600 from Qualcomm isn’t a horrible CPU by a long shot. It’s actually quite powerful. It currently powers the HTC One, and LG Optimus G Pro, along with the ZTE Grand Memo that was announced at Mobile World Congress. As well as the first benchmarks from the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S4 are blowing everything out of the water. Even the HTC One which has the same processor.

Now, Sam Mobile has gotten their hands on a list of which countries will get which CPU. Currently they only have Africa, Asia/Middle East, Australia, and Europe listed. They’ll be adding more soon. We already know that North America (Canada and the US) are both getting the Snapdragon 600 version.

No information about Latin America yet.

So there you have it. It appears that the Exynos 5 Octa is going to be much more scarce then we all had thought it would be. It almost makes you wonder if the only reason for the Snapdragon 600 version is for LTE, perhaps Samsung is low on their Exynos 5 Octa supply? Which wouldn’t surprise me since they just announced the chip back at CES 2 months ago. But like I said above, the Snapdragon 600 is still a very powerful processor, and the Exynos 5 does have 8-cores, but you can’t use all 8 at once. Only 4 at a time, so people are calling it a “fake” octa-core processor. What do you think? Is that a fake one? Let us know in the comments down below.
