Whether or not you’re a fan of Verizon, you’ve got to hand to the network, they’ve got excellent coverage and always easy for you to stay connected pretty much wherever you are. This being Verizon, there’s got to be a way for them to get their name out there and push their branding to us all so, they came up with Verizon Messages and it’s just recently been updated with some extra functionality.
The latest version of Verizon Messages, version 4.0 – wow, as many as that? – now offers the ability to send messages from either your tablet or your PC. Well, anything that can access the website, basically. This sort of functionality certainly isn’t new to Android, and there’s been many a third-party app that’s been able to do this sort of thing for some time now – Reach is just one example, for instance. However, it is nice to see Verizon doing something that might actually benefit their users for once, right?
Verizon Messages will now allow you keep your messages synced through using just your phone number, they’re kept synced for 90 days but, if you really want to keep them any longer than that you can download them to external storage. Pictures and other media is all synced in one place as well, which should make it easy for you to find out those all-important messages from family and friends. Any messages that you do send and receive will come and go from your Verizon phone number, you don’t have to do anything else, which is pretty neat.
If you’ve not tried the service, and want to give it a go, just head over to the Play Store and download the app. Once you’ve got it all up and running, just head to this link or, sign into your “My Verizon” account. We’ll leave you with the video below to find out a little more:
