Want a Galaxy S4 on AT&T? Want a new 2-year contract? Well it’ll cost you $200 for a new Galaxy S4 16GB version. AT&T had previously had the Galaxy S4 listed at $249.99 but did not have a size listed with it. It’s now been clarified that the 16GB model will be $200 and the 32GB model will be $250. So I’d expect their 64GB model to run about $299, but that’s not confirmed yet.
We also learned yesterday that the HTC One would be $199.99 for the 32GB and $299.99 for the 64GB whenever that becomes available. The HTC One will be launching on April 19th, while the Galaxy S4 still doesn’t have a release date. You can check out our comparison of the two devices in our Phone Wars Series, to see how they stack up against each other.
The Galaxy S4 has some pretty amazing specs as well:
- 5-inch 1080p displayHD Super AMOLED Display 440PPI
- 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600/Exynos 5 Octa for the International Version
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage; Expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB
- 13MP camera on the back, 2MP on the front
- 4G LTE: Cat 3 100/50mbps (up to hexa band)
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac
- Bluetooth 4.0
- IR LED (remote control like in the HTC One)
- MHL 2.0
- 2600mAh battery
- Android 4.2.2 – Jelly Bean
- Available in White Frost and Black Mist
- Dimensions: 69.8mm x 136.6mm x 7.9mm
- Weighs 130g
Of course here in the US, we’re getting the Snapdragon 600 processor since the Exynos 5 Octa did not support LTE when the Galaxy S4 was announced. Samsung is also having plenty of supply issues with their home made Exynos 5 Octa processor as well. The Snapdragon 600 is nothing to sneeze at either. It’s showed some pretty amazing benchmarks, and is the same processor as what’s in the HTC One.
