ASUS has been teasing us quite a bit for their upcoming Computex announcement. Instead of another short video, this time they are teasing us with a plastic model and a series of images. These pictures show the process of building an Android robot named Droid Mark II. There is a little green guy sitting with model number of N6-TE and some pieces of him look to represent some of the functionality.
You can see the images down below and that he is holding a phone and a pen. The pen appears to be pretty powerful, at least according to the artwork on the box. There is also a 6 on the front of the robot which hints at a 6-inch device. Then there is a “We Transform” bit which would make you think it’s the next in the Transformer lineup. So could ASUS be working on a 6-inch Transformer/Note hybrid device? Would certainly be nice to see. And I hope it comes to the US, as they haven’t really had anything for the US in quite a while.
It kinda sounds like ASUS is working on a product that will take on the Galaxy Note 2 or possibly the Galaxy Note 3. We’re hoping that ASUS will pack this thing with some top-of-the-line specs, like a Tegra 4 chip or a Snapdragon 600/800. But we’ll need to wait until June 3rd to see.
ASUS is having their Computex event on June 3rd at 3PM local Taiwan time. If you’re in the US, that’s about 3AM eastern time. So you’ll likely hear about it when you wake up, unless you’re planning to stay up for the announcement. And as always you can count on Android Headlines to bring you all the coverage from the event.
How many of you would buy a 6-inch Transformer, Note hybrid device? It definitely peaks my interest. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
