Allegedly Finalized Specs for Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Galaxy Ace 3 Leak Out

There’s no doubting that Samsung has had a huge amount of success in the smartphone market throughout the past two years, but the same cannot be said for tablets. The company has released several new tablets each year, but none have caught on with consumers. Most of them are decent tablets, but no one is buying them. It’s as if Samsung has the same curse with tablets as HTC does with its phones. The company has cluttered the market with new tablets every year, but the thing is, none have been great. They have been good, but just not great, and in 2013, your devices have to be great in order to compete in the long run. So far in 2013, we have seen a plethora of rumors for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 lineup of devices, although the 7-inch variant is the only one that has been announced so far. On Tuesday, however, we have even more alleged specifications of Samsung’s 2013 tablet lineup, as well as another smartphone.

First off, the source claims to have specs for the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. The device carries the model number GT-P5200 for the cellular variant and P5210 for the Wi-Fi only model, while the internal name for the device is supposedly Santos. As far as what’s powering the device, the device supposedly has a dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and 1GB of RAM. It is said to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and have a 1280 x 800 pixel display. It will come in 16GB and 32GB variants and will have a microSD card slot. For those of you that like to take pictures with your tablet, the 10.1-inch Tab 3 will pack a 1.3MP front facing camera and 3MP rear shooter. Finally, dimensions of the device are allegedly 243.1 x 176.1 x 7.95 mm.

The source goes on to discuss the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, a low-end smartphone. The device, which carries the GT-S7270 model number, is said to have a 4-inch 800 x 480 display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 1,500mAh battery, and 5MP rear facing camera. As you should be able to tell by the specifications, this is set to be a budget device, not a flagship.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 does not sound like the tablet Samsung needs to bring it to the top. It almost seems like the company has given up with tablets. What do you think? Tell us in the comments below!
