Here we are, less than an hour before Google’s keynote at I/O this year. Where we are expecting to see a new version of Android, updated Maps, Babble/Babel/Hangouts their new unified chat, and much more. Don’t forget you can watch the keynote live here. This morning it appears Google has been letting a few cats out of the bag. Earlier we reported on the new Maps sign-up page that went live (I’m hearing it’s going to look exactly like the iOS version of Maps). And now it appears Android 4.3 has been confirmed from the screenshot shown above.
There’s no changelog, or features yet, but we can see “security enhancements in Android 4.3” in the search result shown above. Now it looks like Google has fixed it, because for me clicking on the link just takes me to Android 4.2 features and not 4.3. But they certainly will show us all the features during the Keynote which starts at 9am PDT! It’s like Christmas morning for every Google /Android fan out there.
Either way, we’ll be getting introduced to a new version of Android in a little over an hour or so now. And I for one cannot wait! What kind of features do you think Google is throwing in the next version of Android? Possibly App data sync? Maybe a Game Center like iOS? So many questions, hopefully they’ll all be answered in the 3-hour long keynote that’s happening soon.
