It’s been a little while since ASUS launched anything worthwhile for the US. The last tablet they launched for the US, besides the Nexus 7, was the Transformer Infinity, which is almost a year old now. So it’s time for something new ASUS. I know what you’re thinking “ASUS launched the Transformer AiO not too long ago”. That is true, but how many of you are going to go out and buy it? Probably not that many of you. We’re looking for something to succeed the Transformer Infinity Pad. And looking at this new teaser from ASUS, we might be seeing that come June 6th, at Computex 2013
In the teaser, ASUS shows off a blank slate which hasn’t been leaked or announced yet. It also has a stylus coming out of it. Could it possibly be a cross between the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Transformer Infinity? Wouldn’t that be awesome, the best of both worlds.
We don’t know much about this tablet so far. But it’s probably a safe bet that it’ll be running the Tegra 4 processor. Since the original Transformer ran the Tegra 2, the Transformer Prime, TF300 and Infinity all ran the Tegra 3. ASUS has a pretty tight relationship with NVIDIA, and is the reason why NVIDIA can still afford to make chips for mobile.
Computex doesn’t take place until next month, so we’ve got a while to wait and see what ASUS has up their sleeves for Computex this year. But we are definitely excited to see what it is. According to the teaser, it looks like their event isn’t until June 6th, while Computex begins June 3rd. There will probably be some leaks between now and then, which we’ll be on the lookout for.
