Google’s CEO, Larry Page has just taken the stage at Google I/O in the Moscone Center in San Francisco and is doing a wrap up of the 3-hour keynote that took place today. He starts off with a story about when he was younger and how technology is being adopted nowadays and how amazing technology is compared to a few years ago and even a decade ago.
Page talks about his relationship with his father and how important that was in influencing him when it comes to technology and innovation:
My dad was really interested in technology. He drove me and my family all across the country to go to a robot is company. Then we got there, he thought it was so important his son would go to the conference.
He also talked about how important it is to be able to put all of its work on every single device, making Google a platform to build on. The CEO also notes that adoption of technology is “much, much faster” and the smartphone and tablet market shows that.
Page also talks about how Sergey Brin is working on self-driving cars. And how awesome it would be to have a self-driving car. He moves on to talking about the movie The Internship, which we’ve covered quite a bit lately. The movie features Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and is coming out this summer.
Larry Page is opening up the floor for people to ask questions.
