Here is some interesting news to start the week off, with Motorola rumors. We’ve all heard about the XFON, and the Motorola XT1058. In fact, just before Google I/O the XT1058 made it through the FCC with AT&T bands. Which we had also seen it leaked with AT&T LTE logo’s all over it. We had also heard that the XFON would be coming to all the US carriers. So where is the Verizon version?
Well an .ini file was pulled from the leaked Motorola USB drivers, the XT1060 will be accompanying the XT1058. The Motorola XT1060 appears to be the CDMA variant. The .ini file also lists out chipsets and model numbers fro devices to be picked up when using Motorola’s RSD lite application. So what kind of chip are we seeing for the XT1060? Well that would be none other than the Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core. Which is similar to what we saw get benchmarked in the XT1058. It’s being labeled as the “MSM8960CDMA”. We’re going to assume that it’s clocked at 1.7GHz and has the Adreno 320 GPU and not the Adreno 225 GPU, but that’s not confirmed.
Here’s part of that .ini file for you to check out:
