New Oppo Find 5 Coming This Fall – Includes Snapdragon 800, 8MP Front-Facing Camera, and 32GB of Internal Storage

The Oppo Find 5 was one of the very first 5-inch 1080p display phones on the market running Android. I guess you could say it started the whole “5-inch, 1080p” craze that we are in right now. It’s also one of the most popular unlocked phones out there right now. It costs a little more than the Nexus 4, but it’s built like a tank. Oppo is said to be working on the next Find 5, which is said to debut this fall – September to be specific.

Most of us have no idea what it’ll be called, but some are speculating it being the Oppo Find 6, where the 6 would stand for a 6-inch display. Making all the Galaxy Note fans think twice before picking up the Galaxy Note 3 this fall. The next generation could also be called the Oppo Find 5 2, which is going to be very confusing, or they could take a page out of Apple’s playbook and call it “the New Oppo Find 5!”.

According to MyDrivers, the new device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. Which we haven’t seen a device yet, and is due to start shipping in devices in Q3 of this year, which means the Oppo Find 5 2 or whatever it is, might be the first to sport the Snapdragon 800. Which would be a huge upgrade over the Snapdragon S4 Pro that’s in the Oppo Find 5 right now.

Next up, the new Find 5 is due to have a 8MP front-facing camera (say wut?) along with a 13MP rear-facing camera. This could totally be true, because the Oppo Ulike 2 was the first to have a 5MP camera on the front. But that’s still a huge leap over it’s current competitors which have 2 and 2.1 megapixels on the front. The Find 5 will maintain it’s 1080p display and be at least 5-inches. It’ll also maintain the 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. There’s no hint at a microSD card slot or not.

The Oppo Find 5 second-generation is looking to be a pretty good device. We just hope it sells at a good price and is available outside of China. How many of you would buy this phone? Let us know in the comments below.
