Vine Finally Makes its' Way to Android – Make 6 Second GIFs with Sound

Twitter’s newest project, Vine, has finally made it to Android. That’s after being on iOS for a few months. You may have heard from your iOS friends about this app. But it basically allows you to make 6 second animated GIFs that have sound. So now anyone can make a GIF. That could be a bad thing.

Vine already has over 13 million users, and that’s just from iOS alone. Imagine how many they’ll pick up with Android availability. You can easily create video with automatic playback and sound. You can also explore, where you can discover popular posts and see what’s trending and most importantly, find friends. You can find and even invite people to join you. You can also share your posts to Twitter for all your followers to enjoy. There’s also a feature that’s unique to Android and that is zoom.

Right now, both the iOS and Android apps are not in sync. But Vine says they will change that very soon and update the iOS app. Vine well Twitter, also promises that we’ll see many updates with new features. Some that include the front-facing camera support, search, mentions and hashtags. There will also be the ability to share to Facebook. Along with the usual assortment of bug fixes, that we all know and love and hate.

Thrilled to welcome Android to the Vine community – currently more than 13 million registered users.

Vine is available for everyone running Android 4.0 and above from Google Play. You can keep an eye on @vineapp on Twitter for the latest updates. And make sure to leave feedback for the Vine team. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go make some Vines!
