Opera for Android Updated

Today, Opera for Android got updated and brings Snappier startup and video downloads along with the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

What’s in this version:

– Based on Chromium 28
– Improved startup-time
– Download video. Possible to download video files that can be played in Opera
– Set download location (where your files are downloaded to)
– Improved tab-UI animations
– Opening files from external SD Card now possible
– New “open in private tab” context menu
– Cookie clearing mechanism improved
– Fix for bug causing Opera to be uninstalled from selected Samsung devices
– Memory leaks plugged and general stability improvements.

NewEgg Mobile Gets Updated

Today, NewEgg Mobile got updated, bring a slew of fixes. Here’s the full changelog from the Google Play Store:

Newegg listened to Customers’ ideas regarding our App. As a result, the completely redesigned interface comes with loads of great features, including:
1. Create a personalized Home Page – set your own updates, etc.
2. Customize Push Notifications.
3. Add Price Alert.
4. Use Gift Cards for Purchases.
We will acquire access to your camera and phone calls so that you could scan barcode and click to call our customer service in a more convenient way.

AT&T Street Charge launches in NYC

We all know how often we need to charge our phones, AT&T has just launched Street Charge in NYC where you can charge your phone at various places throughout NYC in a new partnership with Goal-Zero. This is solar-charging, so if it’s raining or snowing, you’ll have a hard time charging your phone.

Skype Gets Updated

On Wednesday, Skype also got updated and brought some new fixes along following their recent major redesign. Including fixes for how to sign in and out. Here’s the full changelog from the Play Store.

It’s still the all new Skype, only now it’s better…
Thanks to your feedback, you can now sign out from any of the home screens in addition to the profile screen. Just hit the menu key from any of them.
For good measure we’ve fixed some more bugs too, including one that might have prevented you from making any calls or changing your status to online.
