Google Play Music lands in New Zealand
Today, Google Play Music All Access expanded into New Zealand and Australia. Play Books also landed in a few more countries including Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland and Romania.
Shield Test Drive Booths launching Across the US in August
Next month, NVIDIA is looking to launch Shield test drive booths in cities across the US next month. The idea is to show potential customers in person what the Shield is really like and capable of. Sounds like a good idea to me.
Cricket Offering Monthly Phone Payment PLans
Cricket is looking to follow T-Mobile’s lead and offer monthly phone payment plans as well. They are also updating Muve Music to 4.0. The down payments for these phones will begin at $25. You can find more information from Leap Wireless’ press release.
US Cellular getting rid of Contract-free upgrades for existing Customers
With everyone getting rid of contracts, US Cellular is making it mandatory to sign a contract when you upgrade.
At U.S. Cellular, we are continually evaluating the entire experience we offer to our customers. Beginning later this month, all customers will be required to sign a 2-year contract when purchasing a subsidized device. In addition, a restocking fee of $35 will be introduced as an update to the 15-Day Excellence Guarantee policy and will be charged when a customer returns a device during the 15-day time period. These changes will allow us to invest in improving our customer experience and offering new products and services to our customers.
Twitter for Android hits version 4.1.3
Today, Twitter for Android got updated bringing it to version 4.1.3. It brought a few changes along for the rid as well. Here’s the changelog from Google Play:
