Motorola Announcing their New Droid Line on August 8th? @Evleaks Seems To Think So

@evleaks has just dropped some valuable information over on Twitter. It looks like Motorola and Verizon are planning to drop their new Droid lineup on August 8th. “8/8 does indeed look like Droid day.” So it looks like we’ll be introduced, formally, to the Droid Maxx, Droid Mini and Droid Ultra on August 8th. We’re expecting them to go on sale sometime in August. Which would pin the Droid line versus the Moto X in the marketing blitz that Motorola has for the Moto X and the marketing blitz Verizon will have for the Droid line. It’s basically a win/win for Motorola right?

The Moto X is set to release on Verizon on August 23rd, that’s if the leaked roadmap we got this week is any indication. Which means come fall, Verizon is going to four Motorola devices on their network. Which is a big difference from the one Android phone they’ve released this year. The only phone Verizon has pushed out this year is the Galaxy S4, and they even launched that a month after everyone else. The HTC One is coming to Verizon this Summer, but there’s no confirmed launch date for that one either. Although that same roadmap that told us the Moto X is coming on August 23rd, said the HTC One is coming August 1st. So hopefully in August we’ll have some new toys from Verizon to play with.

We’re still going to say for everyone to take this with a grain of salt. Even though @evleaks is almost always spot on. He has one of the more positive track records for leaks out there. The only time I can remember him being wrong is with the Galaxy S4 leak earlier this year. So we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for August 8th and see if Verizon and Motorola invite us to some big shin dig and as usual we’ll keep our readers informed.
