HTC's One Mini Now Available From AT&T; $99.99 on Contract

While the HTC One has only just launched on Verizon, AT&T is getting a taste of the One Mini. HTC’s answer to the Galaxy S4 Mini is finally available on AT&T for just $99 on contract. The One Mini is what HTC is billing as the One experience but in a smaller package. The 4.3-inch device is not too much smaller than the full-size 4.7-inch One but, the pricing of the device takes a bit of a dive. We knew it was coming to AT&T and now it’s available to purchase, both in-store and online.

If you’re unfamiliar with the device, the One Mini features some mid-range specs but, retains the overall fit and finish of its big brother. Here are the key specs:

  • 4.3-inch 720p SLCD Display
  • Snapdragon 400 CPU
  • 16GB of Storage with 1GB of RAM
  • Sense 5
  • 1,800 mAh Battery

The One Mini features many of the same things the full-size One does, including BoomSound and the UltraPixel camera. At just $99.99 on contract, it’s not a bad deal but, there’s really no telling how well HTC is going to support the device with updates going forward. However, the company has promised to deliver Android 4.3 to the One before the end of next month, so things are looking up.

The outright price of the device is $429.99 which is a little steep but, HTC have tried their best to deliver a premium experience in a smaller package. Frankly, we think HTC have managed that and if it’s anything like its older brother we reviewed months ago, it should sell well. It’s a shame that the One Mini can’t follow in the One’s footsteps and become available on all the major carriers but, we suppose it’s a good thing that HTC has finally launched the device at all.

AT&T is kicking off their Fall line-up of devices, with the Moto X recently going up for sale as well. Hopefully, there are more devices from AT&T this fall as well.
