Is the Motorola DROID Mini Shipping as Early as Tomorrow?

For about a week or so, we’ve been seeing on Verizon’s website that the DROID family would all start shipping on August 27th, which is next week. Just yesterday, the DROID Ultra and DROID Maxx launched in Verizon Stores and has already shipped out to those that pre-ordered early. Now we already knew that the DROID Mini would launch after the Maxx and Ultra, but at this point it looks like it’s launching just a couple days later.

The landing page on Verizon’s website shows that the DROID Mini will begin shipping by tomorrow. So we may see some ship out tonight and arrive tomorrow to those that pre-ordered theirs. Which I don’t believe will be too many. This will be the final of the DROID line to launch. Of course, Verizon might launch some more DROIDs later this year, but they’ll be Motorola phones anyways. We are also expecting the Moto X to launch this week, but we aren’t sure if it’s launching on big red this week or not. It is confirmed to be launching on AT&T this week though, complete with Moto Maker.

The DROID Mini might launch tomorrow, it may not officially launch in stores until the 25th, which is the date we originally heard for a release. But August 25th, is a Sunday, which means a busy weekend for Verizon and their employees. Although, I’m sure they won’t mind. Especially considering how many new phones Verizon has launched this year already.

Those not looking for a 5-inch device, you’re going to love the DROID Mini, since it’s basically the same device, but at 4.3-inches. The specs are all exactly the same, which is something that can’t be said about the HTC One Mini, or the Galaxy S4 Mini. HTC and Samsung like to delute their specs on their mini devices.

How many of our readers are going to be picking up a DROID Mini when it launches? Let us know in the comments down below.
