By the time the LG G2 gets officially announced there’s really going to be nothing to show that we haven’t already seen. We’ve already been introduced to the G2 QuickWindow Case as well as a video demoing how it works. In addition we’ve been treated to a marketing shot of the back of the phone, displaying the unique button layout found on the G2. Lastly we’ve heard that the G2 will be available in over 100 countries by November, and likely all major US carriers by September. Today’s leak of the official-looking manual of the LG G2 confirms all the specs we’d seen rumored and hoped would be true. First off we’re finding out that much like the Moto X, the LG G2 will be using a micro-SIM card instead of a standard sized one. This has been pretty common in smart phones lately, so it’s really not surprising to see LG moving to the micro-SIM standard. What’s particularly awesome about the above picture is that it shows the removable back of the G2, confirming a removable 2,610mAh battery in addition to a microSD slot on the side of the device.
Apparently some in the tech world thought that LG was implementing a fingerprint reader on the back of the phone between the volume buttons, however we can confirm here that this is just a standard-fare power button. The 5.2-inch screen on the LG G2 unfortunately forces the phone to be a bit larger than some others out there, even more so than the Samsung Galaxy S4.

This bucks the trend for LG, who has traditionally pushed thinner and thinner phones with every release. It also means that, at slightly larger than the Galaxy S4, there will definitely be some alienated people when it comes to the market. Everything else with the phone looks pretty darn amazing though, and the spec sheet really is something to behold.

In just 2 days we find out exactly what this thing has in store for the Android community. Remember that the above specs are just rumors, and anything could be changed with an official announcement. Most of the time though these sorts of specs pan out to be true, the only thing that seems up in the air here is the amount of RAM, which hovers between 2GB and 3GB depending on which rumor we’re looking at. Given that Samsung has started producing 3GB RAM chips for its phones, we wouldn’t be surprised at all to see LG doing it with theirs.
