So the Moto X is finally official. So what does Android Headlines do? We give one away to a lucky reader! This time we’re partnering with Geekaphone which is a website that provides a rather interesting service. They help consumers make informed purchasing decisions quickly. When you first visit their website you’ll see a section at the top saying “Discover a smartphone” there you can choose your platform and price amount. You can choose from iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry or just choose any platform. Next slide the price to the max you want to spend. When you’re done simply hit go.
In the screenshot below, I chose any platform and hit the max price as $550. It will then show you the most popular phones. Of course the Galaxy Note 2 is the #1 choice, so then the others show you advantages and tradeoffs compared to the Galaxy Note 2. For example, the HTC One has a much higher PPI screen, better resolution and smaller. But it does have less internal storage, smaller screen and lower resolution camera. Making it easy for you to find out which phone is the best fit for you. You can also sort by platform, carrier, and many other options like price, and keyboard.
If you click on a device, like the HTC One, it’ll give you more information about the device, including a link to buy it on Amazon Wireless. Geekaphone is a very great service, and something I’ll be recommending to everyone thinking about buying a new phone. It’s almost a no-brainer.
