EE Reaches 1 Million 4G LTE Customers
EE has been running their 4G network for some time and now, it looks like they’re becoming bigger than anyone thought they would, at least this quickly. The network now has 1 Million users on its 4G LTE network. This is a target that the network was hoping to achieve before the end of the year so to hit it in September is pretty impressive to say the least.
Vodafone Expanding 4G Coverage and Offering More Data
Vodafone may have launched its 4G network but, right now things are incredibly limited. However, September is the month Vodafone changes things as they’re expanding their network to the following places: Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield on September 28th. As well as this, if you sign-up to a 4G tariff before the end of October, you’ll get an extra 4GB of data every month for the lifetime of your contract. Which isn’t too bad if we say so ourselves!
Samsung Galaxy Gear Up for Pre-Order in the UK
Clove now has the Galaxy Gear up for pre-order, in every color you see in the photo above. Of course, it’s not going to come cheap however, coming in at around £280, this is not your typical wristwatch. You can take a look at Clove’s website for more information.
EE Introduce “Swap” Plans For Those That Need New All The Time
The UK’s largest 4G network is now offering a plan close to O2’s Refresh. Those looking to get a new phone often will be able to trade-in their smartphones six months into their 18 or 24 month contracts, with plans starting from £49 a month. Of course, the catch is that you have to sign a fresh 24-month contract each time you “Swap”. Hardly one of the best deals out there, but perhaps something worth considering.
Three Give More Info on Upcoming 4G Network Launch
Three UK has been talking a little more about their 4G network, said to launch before 2013 comes to a close. On the agenda for this year are: Birmingham, London, Manchester and Reading, as well as Oldham, Dudley, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton. By “late 2014” however, the operator hopes to covering 42 cities in the UK. Three might be the network to wait for if you don’t want to pay any extra for 4G as they still have no plans to change their pricing to those on 4G. You can also buy 4G-ready phones from Three right now, if you’re in the mood for an upgrade, of course.
Samsung Renews “X Factor” Deal
Do you like the X-Factor? Do you like shameless plugging of Samsung products? Well then, you’ll be happy to know that Samsung has renewed the deal with ITV. As with last year, the contestants and judges will be harangued into using Samsung tablets, smartphones and more. We’re also pretty sure that some fancy camera work will be employed to get that logo in shot. Get ready for more Samsung ladies and gentlemen.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra Now Available on 3 and O2
Sony’s gigantic smartphone, the Xperia Z Ultra is now available from O2 and 3. 3 won’t be selling the device until October 18th however, they will have plans as low as £34 a month with a cost of £99 for the phone and of course, all the way up. As for O2, you can also get the device on their “Refresh” plans, too. The Snapdragon 800 powered Xperia is a powerful device however, coming in at 6.4-inches, this might not be the device for you.
