It’s Friday. Did that make you think of Rebecca Black? Anyways. We are getting close to T-Mobile showing off their third phase of the Uncarrier revolution. We’ve already heard that T-Mobile might be getting rid of the deposits for those with not so-good credit. Which we don’t know if that’s true, but it does sound pretty likely. Why? Well because on their site you can choose to see prices for ‘Good Credit’ or ‘Building Credit’.
Now on to the newest rumor. TmoNewsis reporting that T-Mobile will start offering refurbished phones in their retail company-owned locations. So that does not include the authorized retailers out there. While T-Mobile has carried refurbished phones for quite a while, it was only available on their website. So why bring them to stores? Well my theory has to do with JUMP!. When you “JUMP” to a new phone, you have to turn in your current phone. Which is going to put a whole bunch of refurbished phones in stores. So this is another rumor that I’m inclined to believe.
It’ll be great to have refurbished phones in the T-Mobile stores. Especially for those that might be on their prepaid plans that need a new phone ASAP and don’t want to wait for it to be shipped. There’s also another part to this rumor. The fact that T-Mobile might include free calls to Mexico. Hopefully T-Mobile will include Canada as well. I know around these parts we see Canada as just another state, so it would be pretty good to be able to make calls to Canada and even Mexico for free.
As always, be sure to take these rumors with a big grain of salt as we have no way to confirm them. However, we do know that T-Mobile has something big planned for Phase 3. In fact, they confirmed that when they announced Phas 2 earlier this summer. What do you think will be part of Phase 3 of the Uncarrier? Let us know in the comments below.
