One of my main gripes about T-Mobile’s unlimited data plan is that it doesn’t include mobile hotspot. Now I understand, T-Mobile isn’t my ISP. In fact, I only tether when it’s an emergency. Like my ISP having an outage or something. However, I’d still like to be able to tether when needed without having to worry if I’m going over my tethering cap. 500MB of tethering is really not enough. You can blaze through that in like 5 minutes. Fortunately there’s great news for T-Mobile customers on the unlimited data plans. This includes prepaid as well.
You can now get 2.5GB of mobile hotspot, 4.5GB or 6.5GB. The prices have also dropped $10, while the 6.5GB option is brand new. Here’s the break down.
- Unlimited data w/ 2.5GB of SMHS: $20/month
- Unlimited data w/ 4.5GB of SMHS: $30/month
- Unlimited data w/ 6.5GB of SMHS: $40/month
It’s great to see that they’ve added 2GB to the mobile hotspot for the same price as the current unlimited data plan. So this would be $50 for your unlimited talk and text plus $20 for your unlimited data. All that for $70 a month is not bad at all. Although I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks us Unlimited data users should be able to just use our data. I mean it is unlimited for a reason, right?
Anyways, great news for T-Mobile customers. You can check out the screenshots below, which TmoNewsgot their hands on for more information. This is all started yesterday, so you’ll want to call up T-Mobile and be sure you get switched to the new plan. You should be able to do it online through My T-Mobile as well, if you’re interested.
How many of you on T-Mobile have the Unlimited plan and hate that you can’t just tether without having a separate cap for tethering or hotspot? I know I hate it. Let us know what you think about these new plans in the comments down below.
