Google isn’t really known for marketing their devices all that well, or even at all. They normally add a link to the Nexus 7 on their home page, which gets billions of views a day. Also will produce a few commercials but not many. We typically see more commercials for their Chromebooks than the Nexus 7, Nexus 4 or Nexus 10. but today, Google released a pair of new Nexus 7 commercials for us to enjoy.

These commercials show off how handy the 7-inch form factor of the ASUS Google Nexus 7 (2013) really is. In the first commercial which you can watch above, Google shows off the ease of Hangouts with the gaming prowess of the device. The guy is in a rush to get home and see his dog, he uses Google Now to find his way home.
Now the second commercial is pretty short, but also plays off of Google’s new push towards education. Google Now pushes a study reminder notification to the device so our college friend searches for a 24-hour coffee shop after buying his textbook from the Play Store. Isn’t it amazing how many Google products are shown off in that one short commercial? Genius right.

It’s nice to see these commercials coming out from Google. But as we’ve stated many times before, the Nexus program wasn’t meant to sell millions of devices. Now they have been gaining momentum over the past few years, but they still aren’t meant to compete with the Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3. It’s basically an option for those that want a stable phone with stock Android and quick updates. Oh and if you want to keep your phone plugged in all day.
