Oppo is not too well known in the smartphone world of the U.S., but all of that will be changing if BBK Electronics, the Chinese-based company, has their way – as they introduce us to their new Oppo N1, swivel-camera smartphone. Unlike most Chinese companies, rather than making low-end, cheap phones, for the Asian nations, they are makers in the premium niche market and want to compete directly and with Samsung, LG, and Apple. They have recently started an aggressive advertising campaign to get the word out about their newest Oppo N1 smartphone that has a unique swivel, or rotating camera on the top end.
The beautifully designed Oppo N1 features a rotating, 13 Mega-Pixel, 206 degree-wise camera and a rear touch panel – and at $570, is a great deal for the Western markets and if you can participate in their N1 Pioneer Program you can have the Oppo N1 for only $99. They are looking for, “…ten creative and original people to get the earliest N1 unit for just $99 and share their photos and experiences with fellow Oppo fans.” This program will start later today (Oct 14) on Oppo’s website and you will have two weeks to submit your entry.
