Pictures of the Nexus 5 Battery – 2300mAh – Leaks Out

Many of us probably don’t care too much about this, but here they are. Pictures of the 2300mAh battery that’s inside the Nexus 5. In fact, many of us will never see this battery. This leak comes out of FanaticFone. As you can see from the images throughout this post, it’s a kinda wide battery, so it must be using the same step technology that LG and Samsung have used in their latest flagship devices to get as many mAh’s into their phones as possible. It’s also showing as a 2300mAh battery, along with the LG logo, so it’s pretty much confirmed to be a 2300mAh battery inside.

Last week, we had heard that there would be only one battery size for the Nexus 5, which conflicted with earlier rumors of there being two battery sizes. The rumor was that the 16GB would have a 2300mAh and the 32GB would feature a 3000mAh battery. Kind of like the DROID Ultra and DROID Maxx, which Motorola’s been doing on Verizon for the past 3 years. Well three generations now.

There’s really not much to say here, especially since we know just about everything there is to know about this device already. There is a Google Play event tonight at about 7pm, but according to sources there will be no hardware and no news coming out of the event. Which seems strange, especially for Google to have an event this close to Nexus season. Although there was that rumor about them being delayed a bit, that surfaced this morning. Either way, we’ll be keeping our eyes open tonight and seeing what happens with this event. Hopefully they troll us and announce the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat. I know I’m certainly getting tired of these rumors and leaks, how about you?

So is a 2300mAh battery a big enough battery to tempt you into buying the Nexus 5? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
