There’s no doubt that the Galaxy Note 3 is a powerhouse. But some people, like myself may still want to root it. Why? Well there are tons of reasons. There are some mods for Multi-Window and Pen Window which allow you to add more apps. There’s also the custom ROM scene and a few apps that you may want to use that need root access. Just like any other device, we did need to wait for someone to find an exploit to root the device. It’s also important to point out that this will void your warranty and will also keep you from getting OTA’s from your carrier.

- Turn off your Galaxy Note 3
- Next Turn it back on by pressing the Volume Down, Home and power buttons together for 5 seconds.
- You’ll no see a warning screen
- Next hit the Volume up key and enter into ODIN mode or download mode.
- Connect the microUSB cable to your Galaxy Note 3 and to your computer
- You’ll need to download and unzip the Root de la Vega next.
- Next you’ll want to run N900AUCYBMI1_OneClickBin.exe
- Click start
- Next your Galaxy Note 3 should reboot when it is done and you should see “PASS!” on your computers screen.
- Next you’ll need to repeat steps 1-4 and enter back into ODIN/Download mode.
- Run ODIN
- Add Root_de_la_vega.tar into the AP section and hit start
- Now let the Galaxy Note 3 do its thing
- Once it’s done it will reboot once again
- Next copy the contents of the root_de_la_vega.zip to the root of the internal sd card
- Reboot your phone again.
- Next, delete those files you just added, using the My Files app on the Note 3
- Next you should see SuperSU installed on your Note 3
- Run it once, and update the Binaries
- Now you should be good to go!
