If you live in the UK and would like to make a bold statement with your smartphone, then head on over to the Carphone Warehouse and pick yourself up an exclusive Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini in Purple, Pink, or Orange – so much more exciting than the boring Black or White that we are so used to seeing. The Purple and Pink are available now, but the Orange will not be available until December 9, although you can pre-order it now. It will set you back US$600 or you can get the phone free on one of their plans for US$33 a month.
Carphone Warehouse is also throwing in what they a FREE Experience Day. When you purchase a device and you will get a voucher to claim your Free Experience Day, which could be a day to learn how to Surf, Pamper yourself at a beauty spa, go Paintballing, Kayaking, White Water Rafting, Zorbing (rolling down a hill in a plastic ball), drive a Supercar on a racecourse, go Clay Pigeon Shooting, or receive it in the form of a Travel Voucher.
The outside color changes, but the internal specifications remain the same and is the same model you will find on Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint networks in the U.S. It looks like a shrunken Galaxy S4, from a 5-inch display, to a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display at 960 x 540, with a dual-core 1.7 Ghz CPU and 1.5 GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, 1900mAh battery, and Android 4.2. As you can well imagine, these specs are well below those of its bigger brother, the Galaxy S4. Software wise, it is almost identical to the Galaxy S4 – offering many of its features on a much smaller and cheaper package. When Samsung decided to hit the 5-inch mark in screen size on the Galaxy S4, many felt it was too large for their hands, so the Galaxy S4 Mini comes in at that comfortable 4.3-inch, which seems to be the “sweet spot” for many users.
