If you’re a fan of Korean mobile phone maker LG’s technology, then you have something to look forward to next month. This is a time where large is in charge and people are looking for a top-notch screen that’s lean and mean. With that said, in February, LG is going to try to bring it to the competition with the LG Optimus G Pro 2. The LG G Pro 2 will have competition from the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Sony Xperia Ultra and others. Phablets are popular and large displays are what the media loving consumers are looking for.
It is interesting to note that official specifications on this latest phone release from LG still remain to be seen. There have been rumors of some of the tech under the hood. Among the possible details about the phone is a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM to manage all of the applications it can run, and LTE Advance capability. The LG G Pro 2 is rumored be sporting a downright HUGE 6-inch Fully High Definition display and feature LG’s first phone with fingerprint scanning technology. Now that is a feature some of you may be interested in. All of this while running Android 4.4 Kitkat, the latest iteration of Google’s OS.
According to the LG Social website the LG G Pro 2’s predecessor, the LG Optimus G Pro, sold over 1 million domestically in Korea. The LG G Pro has a 5.5-inch 1080p HD screen, a 13-megapixel camera, and an ample 3,140 mAh battery just to name a few fine features. With features like that, LG will need to up their game in order to outdo their last version and yet keep up with the likes of the Sony Xperia Ultra and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3, which have impressive features in their own right. LG has had experience working with Google on a few of the Nexus phones, so they can definitely bring that experience to bear on the LG G Pro 2. Once the specs are revealed, we can see what they have learned from that experience working with the Nexus phones and how they plan on enticing customers with that knowledge being applied to the LG G Pro 2.
