We’ve been waiting for Android 4.4.2 in the US for quite a while, on the Moto X. We’ve already seen it launch in Canada on the Moto X and worldwide on the Moto G. We’ve also seen it hit the Sprint and Verizon Moto X’s albeit unofficially. It looks like Motorola is starting the soak test for the update to Android 4.4.2 on T-Mobile now, as some users are already receiving invites to participate, remember you need to opt into the Motorola Feedback Network to take part in this soak test. Here’s what the email says:
“Hi,
Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are inviting owners of Moto X on T-Mobile to participate in a preview of a new software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a Moto X, please excuse and ignore this email.
Click this link –[link redacted] — to take the enrollment survey if you wish to take part. Note that you must be a member in good standing of the Motorola Owners’ Forums to be included. The registration window could close without notice so please respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks — please understand that start times are always fluid. We ask for your patience if you register but don’t hear from us right away.

So it appears that we are getting an update, for us T-Mobile Moto X users. We’re not 100% sure that it’s Android 4.4.2, but it’s very likely as we’ve heard from various Motorola engineers that it’s coming soon. Which should fix the bugs with Android OS and such. Which will be a great thing for most of us. Hopefully the soak test will go well and we can get the update to everyone very quickly.
