If you watched the Samsung Keynote on Day 1 of CES, you more than likely got to see the announcement of their new Pro Series Tablets. They’re similar in design and feel to the previous Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note Tablet, but they have better specs and are more powerful, and offer a much wider spread of business use capabilities and many productivity tools come built in like a full version of WebX. Compared to the non pro models of these devices, the Pro Series tablets are obviously aimed at more of a sophisticated, business focused group of people, and that’s why Samsung is offering content gift packages that fall along those lines to buyers.
Instead of just the 2 years of extra Dropbox storage like they offered if you bought a Galaxy S3, S4, Note2, or Note3 etc., Samsung is offering up things to help people stay focused and productive, and in the know about all things business. Things like a 12 months free subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek+, and 2 years of free access to Remote PC. Samsung clearly has a particular group of people in mind that they want to target with these devices, and are pulling out all the stops to entice them. Samsung had a vision to provide its business oriented customers with a way to get the most out of their tablets, and they have certainly attempted to cover every single edge, and fine tune every aspect of these Pro Series devices so that they can hit their mark.
The important thing to remember here if you are someone who might be interested in a new Pro Series device and want to take advantage of the content gift packages that Samsung is offering, is not what the content itself is, (although that is important) but that it is only available for a limited time once these devices are launched. Remembering that you get 2 years of free Remote PC access will mean nothing if you don’t purchase a tablet in the allotted time-frame.
