During Sony’s press conference back at CES last week. They announced a couple of new phones. One of those phones is the new Xperia Z1s which is an exclusive to T-Mobile. That device is up for pre-order starting today, and will be hitting T-Mobile stores on January 22nd, for those that are interested. T-Mobile is offering it for $0 down and about $22/month for 24 months. Of course you can ad JUMP to your plan and upgrade to a new device in 6 months, which is a great idea, in my opinion. So how great is the Xperia Z1s? Well feel free to read our review on the Xperia Z1s that went live this morning and find out! There’s not a whole lot that’s different here from the Xperia Z1, but Sony has moved the headphone jack so it’s in the center of the top now. They’ve also made the sides plastic instead of aluminum now, and they’ve added 32GB of internal storage.
While we’re talking about specs, the Xperia Z1s has a 5-inch 1920×1080 resolution Triluminos display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked at 2.2GHz. It’s also packing 2GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal storage, and yes there is a microSD card slot inside. There’s also a 3000mAh battery inside keeping this phone going as well as running on Android 4.3 – Jelly Bean. Now is where things get interesting, in the camera. Sony has put a 20.7MP Sony G Lens camera on this one. It’s got an aperture of f/1.8 and it takes amazing shots, which you can check out our photo gallery for plenty of samples. On the front there’s a 2MP camera there for taking plenty of selfies.
The Xperia Z1s is definitely a great device, and it’s great to see it here in the US on a carrier, instead of just being available unlocked. So how many of you are going to be ordering yours today? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
